JOIN US AGAIN TOMORROW
Alpe d'Huez. The name conjures all sorts of memories from Tour de France stages, and now the women get their turn up those legendary hairpin bends. As Fisher-Black said, one minute won't be the gap come the finish - but who will be grabbing yellow?
Make sure you are back with us tomorrow to find out, but as for today, it was all about Justine Ghekiere and her incredible ride to try and secure the polka dot jersey.

FISHER-BLACK HAS THE FINAL WORD ON YELLOW
"I did not expect a group to get such a big gap, but it was the gamble we had to play as we did not have the yellow jersey so we were not going to ride for it straight away and Canyon did not [ride].
"It was a difficult climb, but time gaps were hard to make. We were not thinking about the stage, we were thinking about the GC. Cycling is always a gamble, you saw us losing the yellow jersey already this week but it is possible [to win it back], big time gaps will be made tomorrow and we will not be taking about a minute tomorrow for sure."

WHO HAS WHICH JERSEY?
Niewiadoma stays in yellow going into the final stage, Vos has green and Ghekiere has the polka dots. Pieterse remains in white for the best young rider.
Yellow isn't just the big one - it's the jersey most likely to change hands tomorrow. Can SD Worx retake it? Fisher-Black had some interesting things to say...

VOLLERING MOVES UP TO P8
Those four bonus seconds move Vollering up to eighth overall, 1'15'' back on Niewiadoma, who heads into the final day wearing yellow. Pieterse goes up to second overall, 27'' back, as yesterday's stage winner Kerbaol drops to third, 37'' back.

LET'S HEAR FROM THE STAGE WINNER
"I really have no words. It's really - I think I'm dreaming, it's crazy. I really want to thank my team today, the whole team at the beginning was in the front to protect me and then Julie, this victory is in part for Julie. When I took the last points, I thought I'll just go my own pace and I could stay away, I can't believe this, really can't believe this."
Julie van de Velde was in the breakaway with Ghekiere, and was the one to blow apart the breakaway with her pace injection on the Col de Saint-Jean-de-Sixt.

STAGE 7 PROVISIONAL RESULTS
1. Ghekiere
2. Squiban, 1'15''
3. Vollering, 1'23''
4. Niewiadoma, 1'23''
5. Muzic, 1'27''
Vollering's time gain will be in bonus seconds.
14:25
WHAT A STAGE THAT WAS
Hats off to Ghekiere for that brilliant solo win, going off the front of the breakaway up the slopes of the Col de Saint-Jean-de-Sixt. She claims the stage victory and extends her lead in the Queen of the Mountains classification to boot.
Vollering behind has picked up a few seconds on Niewadoma, we'll await the official results to say exactly how many with bonus points coming into play.

GHEKIERE WINS STAGE 7!
The polka dot jersey, the polka dot bike - the look of sheer joy and relief for Justine Ghekiere as she wins the seventh stage of the race and the first summit finish.
What a ride that was. Squiban claims second, and Vollering drops Niewiadoma with 100m to go...
14:18
250M TO GO - NIEWIADOMA ATTACKS
Ghekiere is heading for the win here, but behind the yellow jersey is trying to distance Vollering. She can't, those two are locked together but they have dropped Pieterse!
14:16
1KM TO GO - GHEKIERE NEARLY THERE
Still Ghekiere's legs are pumping, she looks down, sweat dripping from her brow. But what a moment this will be, the iconic polka dot jersey set to cross the line first. She has 1.46'' now as the games continue behind.
Brand attacks, and Niewiadoma works hard to chase her down.
14:15
1.7KM TO GO - GHEKIERE HEADING FOR THE WIN
Surely, surely the polka dot jersey is going to take the victory today. Justine Ghekiere (AG Insurance - Soudal) has 1'34'' over the very elite bunch behind, who are still playing cat and mouse.
14:13
2.4KM TO GO - THE GAP STARTS TO COME DOWN
This one isn't done yet. The peloton has just gone past Vos and Martin, and Niewiadoma is on the front and towing Vollering up this climb. Is that the right tactic? Surely not, as they reel in Rooijakkers.
Niewiadoma pulls across and is now side by side with Vollering, she is saying something - and as for that lead, it is now just 1'28''.
14:10
3.6KM TO GO - MORE ATTACKS INCOMING
Rooijakkers has attacked now, and she does create a gap. She was at 1'08'' on the GC in eighth place overnight, so they can't let her go far.
Meanwhile, up front Ghekiere continues to steadily wind her way upwards towards what would be a famous stage win.
14:07
4.7KM TO GO - UP THEY ALL CLIMB
Ghekiere has just over two minutes on the peloton. That is where any threat will come, but there isn't much time left. Speaking of, the peloton are losing time with all these stop-start attacks, although the pace has just picked up again as Fisher-Black drops off the back.
That isolates Vollering. It's on her now.
14:04
5.8KM TO GO - GHEKIERE HAS 2'14''
That's her lead over the peloton, that elite group that has briefly clamed down for the moment. Ghekiere is out front alone, the polka dot jersey putting on a great show up the steep category 2 climb to the summit finish at le Grand-Bornand.
Behind, Vos and Martin are hanging on around a minute behind, but all eyes are on the yellow jersey now.
14:01
6.9KM TO GO - VOLLERING ATTACKS!
Forget the front for a second, Vollering has a go! She accelerates, but Niewiadoma is quick to shut her down. Vollering slows, but now her team mate goes and Niewiadoma shuts that down too. She doesn't need to, she just needs to mark Vollering...
14:00
8.8KM TO GO - GHEKIERE LEADS
Right, surely, surely moves will be made. The peloton is still fairly sizeable at 29 riders, as Ghekiere continues to attack at the front. But behind it is all eyes on Niewiadoma and Vollering.
13:57
10KM TO GO - GHEKIERE STILL IN THE LEAD
Could Ghekiere hold on for a stage win today? She is nearly a minute ahead of Vos, and has a further minute and a half on the peloton.
At the other end, Faulkner has been dropped - she started the day in third in the GC, only 19'' adrift.
13:53
11.9KM TO GO - MORE RIDERS STRUGGLING
There are riders dropping off the back in huge numbers now, plenty making gestures to the cameras to show their day is done. Vas is one of them, she was on the front earlier working for Vollering but the legs have had it.
Brown is pulling on the front for FDj-Suez now.
13:50
13KM TO GO - VOS TRYING TO HOLD ON
Vos was dropped yesterday but fought back into contention. She's going to need more of that grit and determination today, as Ghekiere rides off the front chasing Queen of the Mountain points.
Vos is with Martin, 23 seconds back, with the peloton now 2'19'' behind that duo.
