JOIN US AGAIN TOMORROW
Here's the winning moment at the end of a very, very dramatic race that has seen a big crash, and a change in yellow.
All eyes will be on the new maillot jaune wearer tomorrow, Niewiadoma as well as Vollering, to see how she responds to dropping down the standings.
The mountains await - what who will have the legs to conquer them?
15:17
TIME TO HEAR FROM STAGE WINNER VAS
"It’s crazy, I still can’t believe it, I did not expect this today, I felt so bad during the day but I was told to believe in myself. My radio was not working so I did not know what was happening, I think Demi crashed so we lost yellow, so I have mixed feelings.
"Also Olympics gave me a lot of confidence as I was racing in the front, so I know if I have a good day I can be in the front."
15:13
OVERALL STANDINGS
1. Kasia Niewiadoma (Canyon//SRAM Racing)
2. Kristan Faulkner (EF - Oatley - Cannondale) +19''
3. Puck Pieterse (Fenix-Deceuninck) +22''
Vollering drops to ninth, 1'19'' back.

WHAT HAPPENED WITH SD-WORX?
Vollering was isolated for quite some time after that crash, but how did that happen? Her team mate Mischa Bredewold explains:
"No [I wasn't aware], I was riding on the front of the bunch, such a rollercoaster as I was so happy for Blanka [Vas] to win, but for Demi [Vollering] it is really *****. I stopped and waited but I heard so much [on the radio] I did not hear she crashed, and when I heard again I immediately stopped. I think she’s okay."

AWAITING CONFIRMATION OF THE RESULTS
We can bring you the stage results, while we await the confirmation of the overall leaderboard:
1. Blanka Vas (Team SD-Worx - Protime)
2. Kasia Niewiadoma (Canyon//SRAM racing)
3. Liane Lippert (Movistar)

VOLLERING NO LONGER IN YELLOW
Kasia Niewiadoma will be the new yellow jersey leader of the Tour de France Femmes going into the mountains, she has replaced Vollering in the lead of the race.
What a finish that was, after a fascinating stage with the breakaway managing to stay out in front for much of the day.
14:56
VOLLERING LOSES NEARLY TWO MINUTES
Demi Vollering loses a big, bug chunk of time - we'll confirm it to the second as soon as we can, it looked in the region of 1'50''. Niewiadoma is the dangerous rider to have managed to pick up time, as Puck Pieterse comes across the line, after also being involved in that crash.
But the stage winner is Vas, from Niewiadoma and Lippert.
14:53
VAS WINS STAGE 5 FOR SD-WORX!
Blanka Vas just pips Niewiadoma over the line, lifting her arms aloft as that hopefully her her is balm for that tough Paris road race finish.
But further behind, how much time is Vollering going to lose here? She is riding hard as the clock ticks past the minute mark.
14:52
1KM TO GO - THE GAMES BEGIN
Faulkner is there, we know how dangerous she is - Paris showed that. Niewiadoma is trying to get away, Faulkner goes - but Vas immediately closes the gap. There are four riders up front now. Here comes the sprint finish...
14:50
2.3KM TO GO - A SPRINT FINISH BECKONS
Adegeest is caught and now there is an elite group up front contesting the stage win. Niewiadoma, Faulkner, Dygert, Vas are all in there, so is Adegeest.
Vollering has a team mate now - and a few others from the crash have clubbed together to try and get back and limit their losses. They remains 1'35'' back.
14:47
5KM TO GO - REPLAYS OF THE CRASH COMING IN
Vollering is up and nursing her hip as she starts to pedal for the finish. The helicopter shots don't reveal much but a pile up, but there are still riders down - the medical car is in attendance now.
That crash has caused some gaps in the peloton, as Adegeest goes for a solo victory. Vollering is 1'26'' back, and she is on her own and chasing back. Surely some team mates will be sent back to help her.
14:45
7.1KM TO GO - ROAD FURNITURE INCOMING
There are eight roundabouts on this run in, the first of which the breakaway have safely negotiated. But with a gap of nine seconds, this race seems destined to end in a bunch sprint as there is a crash in the peloton.
Georgi has gone down, so has Vollering! Many riders involved in that one, Vollering is up and starts to get moving again.
14:41
10KM TO GO - CAN THEY HOLD ON?
The breakaway is back together after Adegeest got back in touch but their lead is just 15 seconds now as they go under the 10km to go marker. Van de Velde tries to go again, as those three negotiate the last little uphill kick. Then there is a fast finish, but the peloton can see their quarry now. Surely it is just a matter of time.
14:36
13.8KM TO GO - THE BREAK IS IN TROUBLE
The breakaway have their heads down, working hard together even though you feel the catch must be inevitable. Van de Velde pushes ahead for the bonus seconds, as Adegeest - who started this break - starts to lose touch.
It's still 20 seconds or so, with Fisher-Black now on the front working for Wiebes.
14:32
15.8KM TO GO - THE GAP TUMBLES
The breakaway only have 22'' now. It's been a brave effort from those three, but it doesn't look like they can stay away today. Crowds are cheering them on under glorious blue skies, and van Empel thinks about an attack.
Behind, Pieterse is still on the front of the peloton but she doesn't pick up as many points as she'd like, getting swallowed up as the bunch come over the top of this climb.
14:30
17KM TO GO - THE LEAD IS UNDER A MINUTE
This breakaway suddenly looks very unlikely to survive, as Movistar start to work on the front of the bunch for Emma Norsgaard. They are climbing now though, there is one more small descent, a tiny lump and then the finish.
More attacks start to come in too especially from Kock, which the peloton aren't too worried about shutting down.
14:29
18.7KM TO GO - A BEAUTIFUL DAY IN FRANCE
That peloton is really moving now, and the gap comes down to 1'23''. SD-Worx are the ones with the decision to make - they are defending that yellow jersey but also have Wiebes going for the stage win.
There is that last climb to negotiate too, and if it's too much for the remaining sprinters, there are all sorts of other names who come straight into the equation. How do SD-Worx play this?
14:23
21.4KM TO GO - CAN THE BREAK SURVIVE?
Ellen van Dijk for Lidl-Trek is on the front now doing a turn. The gap is 1'39'', with the front three still working together. They'll have to keep this truce as close as possible to the finish to make it there without being swallowed up - playing any games could prove very costly.
14:17
25.1KM TO GO - THE LEAD COMES DOWN
The peloton continues to motor on, and the breakaway's lead has come down to 1'44''. That is because as well as Wiebes, Balsamo has been near the front marshalling things as well. There seems a determination to bring this breakaway back today, as the bunch wind their way through another picturesque French town.
14:14
28.3KM TO GO - COTE DE BRIEY SAFELY NEGOTIATED
The breakaway and now the peloton have made it over the cote de Briey and are now starting to work their way up the Cote de Montois-la-Montagne, another cat 4 climb.
While they continue to toil, give this a watch and see what yesterday's woman of the moment Puck Pieterse had to say about her evolution so far...
