Liverpool thrashed West Ham United 5-1 to progress in the EFL Cup and their trophy defence will continue at Brighton & Hove Albion, while arguably the top tie of the fourth round sees Tottenham host Manchester City. Manchester United got past Barnsley 7-0 in round three and Erik ten Hag's side have been rewarded with a home draw against Leicester City.

There is still one third round tie to be settled after severe flooding at Plough Lane led to League Two's AFC Wimbledon being denied the chance to entertain Newcastle United.
That postponed fixture has now been switched to be played at St James’ Park next week. The prize up for grabs for the winner is a home tie against Chelsea in the next round.
Round four will be played in the week commencing October 28.
